The function of the hydraulic system for mechanical equipment is equivalent to that of the heart for people. Hydraulic technology is used in most of the occasions with mechanical equipment, and it is widely used from civil to national defense, from general transmission to control systems with high accuracy. The mechanical industry is exposed to hydraulic technology and hydraulic system every day, but many people have only a little knowledge of hydraulic principle. I have compiled some animations of hydraulic system and hydraulic valve to make the complex working principle look more simple and clear.
The hydraulic system is mainly divided into transmission system and control system. The main function of the hydraulic transmission system is to transmit power and motion, transmit hydraulic oil, and the hydraulic oil enters the chamber of the oil cylinder to control the extension or retraction of the cylinder piston rod to perform various actions.
A set of hydraulic system (or hydraulic pump station), oil pump motor and other power sources are used to send oil to the oil cylinder, and the solenoid valve plays the reversing function, making the cylinder piston rod extend or retract.
Functions of components
Cylinder: actuating element
Electromagnetic directional valve: It is used in the liquid circuit system to make or break the liquid circuit or change the liquid flow direction.
Throttling valve: control fluid flow by changing throttling section or throttling length
Pressure pipeline filter: remove or block impurities to prevent components from being worn or stuck
Overflow valve: constant pressure overflow, pressure stabilization, system unloading and safety protection
Oil pump: convert the mechanical energy of the prime mover into hydraulic energy
